This is my favorite and easiest way to brew coffee. You take a metal filter that you don’t need to put a paper filter in, pour the ground coffee in, and pour the hot water over it. Important: put a couple of handfuls of ice at the bottom of the beaker. This ensures a quick and colder iced coffee.
The logic behind the metal filter is that you will not lose the essential oils and flavors that come with the coffee, that are lost in the paper filter. Since trying this method, my coffee has tasted significantly better.
